Last evening...
in Okie land.
The time has come to go back to the reality of my life. Time to go back to realm of nothing or so little that it lies within the range of nothing.
Before all that though one must reflect.
The top things learned on this trip:
1. Some are much more directionally challenged than others and driving with them teaches us who those people truly are. We love them anyway.
2. They really do eat a lot of meat in Okie land and just as much if not more in Texas.
3. Texas has got some flawless things to offer people to see...but so does Oklahoma.
4. Chaos can make you giggle a lot.
5. Family can be a very good thing.
6. I really like thunder and lightening and downpours.
7. I must learn to cook more for myself.
8. There are a lot more things reasonably priced in the places I visited than in the places I currently live.
9. The word Hot does not cover how one can feel at times. I would be awfully grumpy or dead during summer in these parts.
10. I enjoyed having my best friend around for days at a time. It was nice to be in her neck of the woods.
11. Fried is a very good thing, but it does NOT help Okra.
12. I want to come back soon.
13. I will miss my best friend even more than usual.
One last bit of information...never believe the sign "Hi Speed Wireless Internet".
Home I go tomorrow. Back to the routine of bah. Life needs change; perhaps I will find some soon. Vacation is over. Onward.
Peace.

Hey now, I don't think being directionally challenged is that big of a drawback. It certainly shouldn't make one less loveable.
So sorry you didn't like the fried okra. That just means there's more for me.
Believe me, I'll be missing you too. I'm still hoping someone comes up with viable transporter technology in my lifetime. Until then...many flights are in my future.
