Joy.
Sometimes the littlest things are the best. I was roving through my plastic tote that is shoved under my bed this evening. Hence not enough dresser space for those seasonal items. So today's heat had me pulling out my spare clothing while my laundry was washing my favorite shorts and shirt.
With heat not on the plate often in Seattle my need for shorts or summer tops is rare. To my surprise once I opened up the bin of spares it hit me. A scent of memories. Like sounds the smell brought me there in a flash. A great place. One where the memories are vivid and colorful. A place to repeat. I carefully shut the bin as not to let anything escape.
I sit here wearing this top while I every so often pull it up to my nose and let my mind focus back and into that realm of splendor.
Joy can be found in the smallest of things. I like that.
Peace.

You be funny. Probably the Downy fabric softener I use. Send me some clothes every so often and I'll wash 'em and mail 'em back to you.
