Heavy rain

Sounds truly wonderful to wake up to. Makes me lay here (using laptop this morning) thinking of peaceful thoughts. I think the rain reminds me of the ocean and it comfort. Hence listening to it pound on the roof is soothing and splendid.

A full day of it is scheduled. Sorry to all those hopeful holiday folks, but welcome to May in Seattle. Something I look forward to. Something that we will be short of come June, July and August, so one must enjoy it all now.

Hopefully today’s rain will give me the energy to tidy a bit and perhaps vacuum. I would also really like to get out in the back area a get the grill together. May be possible under my back porch but one will not light due to the light plastic covering above us may not take well to being melted by heat from a grill. We'll see what reality brings.

Times like these though do leave me with hopes and dreams and maybe someday one can come true again. I think time is the only answer now and even that is sketchy.

Instead I will listen to the drops fall. Later on one can gather the necessary materials and perhaps talk a walk in the wondrous world of rain.
