Socialization and shyness.
How do we learn this. How do we continue to grow and reach forth through our worlds built up around us. We learn hopefully at a young age through interactions with others including family and friends.
If this is stomped on and tapped down or shyness can become larger than ourselves. One must reach past that. As children we follow the rules laid down by parents. They know all in our young minds. However as we grow one hopes to learn past that and develop our own socialization and skills.
This can put us at odds with parents and that can be good and bad. But in the end we are a unique individual and we must make the choices for ourselves. To allow our parents to shape us when we are adults is a tragedy in the making.
Socialization is an important thing to learn. If not learned young one must force themselves beyond there shyness to step out and learn it as an adult. This task more than likely is very hard to do as an adult, but if one expects to live life inside a society with friends and relationships it is the only choice.
Non socialized people live on an island where no roads or paths have been laid down. This leads to extreme sadness in the end. Lonely and extreme shyness is not a good choice for humans. We are pack orientated. Interactions with others is the only way to move on our path while seeking our truth.
How can we help others with this? Call these people on it. They may not take it well and it may effect your friendship, but in the end people that are so extremely shy are also lonely and they need to hear the truth. One may loose a friend but what kind of friend where they?
And by not calling them on it what kind of true friend are you? One must weigh that challenge. We do what is best for our friends or we certainly try. Who knows your comments may be giving them food for thought and it can be a powerful thing coming from a trusted friend.
Think about it, make a life better when possible. Live life to the fullest. Enjoy those around you.
Peace.

We may not like hearing it but real friends will give us the hard truths when we need them.
