So here we are...Friday
Made it...well so far. One more wonderful shift at work...then a splendid 3-day holiday (well at least for me).
Words...they can do so much. They move us in extraordinary ways. Some are so good and some or so not. Then there are those that are so innocent and yet can be so totally devastating...how does that work? And why is it those words cut through us so quickly?
Anger I understand, emotions I understand but words that are so mean and used so 'supposedly' innocently throw me for a loop. I ponder, does one know what they are saying? Is it me that takes it so badly? Are they aware of there effect? Words put forth with emotions come from places and behaviors that folks know they are using...but words thrown out innocently makes me think and evaluate much more closely.
Why is that? More to think about.

You and your three day holidays that no one else gets. Bleh.
So tell me. Why is it so much easier for us to take negative words to heart? You have to look at the speaker's motivations. What do they gain by what they're saying? Perhaps they're attempting to prop up their own truth and don't care who they hurt to do it.
