Rain strikes back

Like all good things the rain returns. A dark and wet start to the day. One readies themselves for another full day of work. 5 days and counting. Why is that? How can one rely on a 5 day vacation when in reality one just has to step back into the ring on there return.

Odd how we humans look forward to a vacation that in the realm of it all is short and almost insignificant. Take 3-day weekends. People are always so cheerful when one arises and yet in reality my desk seems to be a bit more clogged and full around that one day. Is it truly worth it? Easy answer yes.

Perhaps the problem of the issue lies within the concept that not all of us love our jobs. Wouldn't that be grand, but unfortunately it is not true. I use to truly like my job. I never minded getting up and having another day there. Somewhere along the road of discouragement and meanness it lost its fun.

Unfortunately it took management 8 years to realize my issues and now that they have made moves to help it, we are a long ways away from enjoyment. Maybe someday, but until then I am just another worker going in can counting down 'til the next vacation arises. Five days.

At least I have my rain back.

Peace.
