Shadows...

Light sparking off object...moving or not? A unique and fun things for kids to catch, but also a unique visionary site. Art laid down repeatedly in different ways. When was the last time you thought about all the shadows created across the landscape?

Reflection of what...everything solid? However reflection is memories, thoughts and processes we do in our head. Without realizing it we shadow ourselves constantly. Reflect over a day, we highlight a moment, we look back or even forward hoping the shadow we portray is valid. Does that reflection work? Sometimes, but a reminder a reflection from the sun to an object had little discrepancies. The image is stable without interpretation...or is it? Move slightly right and you will see that shadow move...remember that when looking into yourself. Evaluating ones mind of thoughts depends on where one is standing. Reflecting forward or back changes as we move within, just like a shadow...

I stood on the deck earlier this morning and watched the moon reflect over the top of the house. Its intensity was bright but as I watched a cloud moved past and the reflection dulled. I turned and looked up to see the cloud absorb the reflection. Life has shadows all over it, some get absorbed by other pieces and change our view. The shadow on the cloud was no where near as impressive as the reflection to the house, is it less beautiful in its own right? For me visually maybe, but in thoughts no, the cloud changed the intensity and only some of the moons power shined past that, but it existed non the less. We reflect so much from our mind, each memories or hope is put forth, but sometimes some overlap and take some of that brightness but they exist and our viewing position perhaps can change to bring back the intensity.

Peace.

Hmm...my version of the cave...that would be tough to ever consider creating another version to something so outstanding...but perhaps in a way it is.

Funny thing...I never saw it that way, but definitely something to consider.

Sure E, take a look at it again. I don't think that you intentionally wrote it with Plato's cave in mind. But since you're reading Plato right now all those ideas are brewing around in your subconcious mind. The sections where you talk about shadows definitely parallels Plato's discussion, but you've put your own spin on it. Your spin is much more personal and is about an individual's search for their own personal truth. All that reading of Plato is working on those brain cells and in a good way whether you realize it or not!
