Pumpkin bust

Last night (yes we are very late this year) we were planning pulling out the carving knives and creating our usual grouping of pumpkin fun. Well it started slow, one pumpkin had to be retired to the yard waste bin (rotting with bottom all falling out). Got the other 4 inside ready to go and hello what this the matter? Well this year Tamara and I bought these "cute" warty pumpkins. They were solid as rock. We chose not to break the knives and gave up carving. Hence the two kiddos were left. They did okay, but it seemed like a let down for me. T went ahead and painted hers, but the paint ran as bit so now she has a very sad looking pumpkin. My wart filled one sits untouched on the front porch. On to the next day we go.
