When I was young...a long time ago
colds sucked, but not really. I would get to stay home cuddle up on the couch, drink 7up, and watch TV. Why is it that I don't do that anymore?
My body still feels like crap. But I will continue on my journey of preparing for work. Sadly enough I wont take the time that my body is screaming to be had. Life is busy, so I will continue trudging through the day. Being grumpy to co-workers and probably sharing this quality bug with them so they can take it home and share with there family.
All I really want to do is crawl into my bed with some cold/cough medicine and sleep. But no, too much going on right now, I will take care of me later.
Where do we get this stupid ethic? Life will always be busy and there will never be enough time for a cold to slow us down, well not 'til it reaches some other worse ailment.
Gee and they say we grow up and get smarter; sometimes I am not so sure.

We grow up and nobody can order us to stay in bed and get well. I think we'd like it if someone could but being an adult sucks sometimes and this is one of those times.
