Time heals.

We hear this often. Perhaps it should say time covers or closes things. Healing I am not so sure about. It can dull memories, change views, reset paths, but heal I don't think so.

Some things are just not healed. They move within our psyche to another space and we can view them differently and seek knowledge from them. To say they are healed seems to give credit to something that may not be possible.

Situations in life change us forever. It is not something we heal from. We change and grow and learn new ways. But not everything is healable. Pieces of ourselves through periods of change vary and move in different directions. Good, bad or indifferent each has their place. How we look at it is probably up to where we stand and what perspective we view from.

Healed, wishing it were always true, but some situations are so dismantling of who we are they shred what is left and leave us bits and pieces that need to be redeveloped into something completely different. This is not healed per say it is becoming something new. We will never be whom we once, where, which to me is what healed, defines. Being that which we were previous to the altercation.

So perhaps we just need to view Time with a bit of reality and see that it is not a healer it is a road builder to something else all together.

Good luck. Peace.

Just be sure to allow someone else's viewpoint in once in awhile and really listen to it. A static perspective can rebuild but perhaps it's not quite earthquake safe. Introspection is all well and good but when we see more negatives about ourselves than positives, it's time to let in some light.

All good however sometimes reality also needs to play out, perhaps hearing what is or is not being said by more than one is a good plan.

Good point. I think cliches like that come about with the best intentions of trying to help someone see beyond the present hurt. But I see your point. Nothing stays the same, and sometimes things are good and sometimes bad.

The trick is not to cling to what was and can no longer be, but to move on. Easier said than done, to be sure.

Good luck.
