Rain finally surrenders

The early morning brings rain. Hard, loud, wonderful water falls quickly all around. The birds chirp and talk loudly amongst themselves as the rain saturates the ground below them.

The morning light has not begun its descent, but the day ahead lies with inspiration. Even weather forecasters have something good to say. This was pulled from KOMO TV's weather this morning:

Much like how you might get a tinge upon seeing Mt. Rainier after being away from the Northwest for a while, we certainly felt a tear swell upon seeing a familiar Seattle sight that has been gone for quite some time:

Rain on all 7 days of the extended forecast graphic.

*Sniff*... It's good to see you back, old friend!

Clouds will be increasing tonight as the first of several storms head our way, thanks to the return of the jet stream. (Another dry week, and I think we would have had to put the jet stream on milk cartons.)

So the day starts off wonderfully.

The rain won't stop my daughter from a quest of egg hunting at the zoo. If anything the fun will only increase...less kids and she gets to wear her boots.

So let the rain fall.

Peace.
