Momentum forward

The rain has it right now. Actually it has had it now for 26 days straight. I seem to be the only person who is finding it wonderful after the long dry summer. Now I am sure I will feel different if I were near one of the numerous flooding creeks, lakes and rivers.

However it always surprises me less than 4% of the locals use umbrellas but they are complaining nonstop about the rain and how wet they are getting. I don't own an umbrella (my daughter has two little kid ones that don't see any use). But then again I am not complaining about getting wet every time I step out into the wondrous feel of water falling to the ground.

The darkness of the gray overcast days has definitely returned and it seems to be all the local news can talk about. More rain, well welcome to Seattle. The funny part is that for all the complaining we are only slightly above average rainfall expected in winter in Seattle. I think the issue is that the last 9 years the city/state have only averaged 50% of its normal, hence people got used to it I guess. All I did was miss those days of gray and rain.

So a long weekend lies ahead. Why do some not get this holiday off? Or if they work why are they not paid holiday (double time or time and a half) wages? That be wrong. A weekend that is to promote Peace. In honor of a man who lived his life for the hope of Peace. He may not have been perfect as no one can be, but he certainly left something for us all to remember each year. Hope lives. As long as each of us stands and breathes Hope exists. May it help us all.

Find your Hope and let Peace fill us all sooner rather than later. We each may not affect the big picture in our head but be assured every step each one of us takes in making the planet a better place for EVERYONE the better off we all will be. Living in our realm does and will affect others.

This weekend in Honor of Martin Luther King may Peace be found somewhere within each us. Let that dream live on for generations to come. Hope.
